6. Data Retention
We retain data for the duration of the school's contract with SaferAttendance, plus:
- Attendance records: Retained for 7 years per typical state requirements
- Account information: Deleted within 90 days of contract termination upon request
- Technical logs: Retained for 1 year for security and troubleshooting

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
SaferAttendance is designed for use by schools. We collect student information only as directed by schools acting as the educational agency.
